I am searching the net, trying to find a way, to use the information stored in the GAL.

We have in our office setup a plan in Visio, where you can see all the working places. A customer asked me, if it is possible, that in the Visio, you could have a link in Visio and when you click onto it, you would get all the details of the person, that works at that specific desk.

Usually, either in Lync or in the GAL you search for the Name of the person, then click on properties and you end up with the nice Window, with the Name, Title, Picture and all kinds of information you need.

Is there a way, I can Link that window and open it directly by pressing the link or is it more complicated then a "naive" supporter thinks :)

As far as I know, we can only use the following types of data in Visio, we can't read GAL data directly in Visio. So, I don't think this is possible.

Since we are not the best resource for scripting, I'm not sure if this is possible via script. I'd recommend you post a new question in the Script Center forum:
